Hvernig á að óska eftir eyðingu
- Sendu póst á platepos@platepos.is — helst af því netfangi sem þú notar til að skrá þig inn.
- Settu „Eyða aðgangi“ í efnislínuna og tilgreindu nafn veitingastaðar/aðgangs.
- Við staðfestum beiðnina og eyðum aðgangnum innan 30 daga.
Hvaða gögnum er eytt
Þegar aðgangi er eytt fjarlægjum við persónuupplýsingar sem tengjast honum, þar á meðal:
- Aðgangs- og innskráningarupplýsingar (nafn, netfang, símanúmer, hlutverk, aðgangsorð).
- Bókunarupplýsingar gesta sem skráðar eru undir aðgangnum.
- Stillingar og gögn tengd notkun þinni á kerfinu.
Hvaða gögn eru geymd — og af hverju
Sölu-, reiknings- og VSK-gögn (pantanir og reikningar) eru geymd í 7 ár eins og íslensk bókhaldslög krefjast. Að þeim tíma loknum er þeim eytt eða þau nafnhreinsuð. Þessi gögn eru geymd vegna lagaskyldu, ekki í markaðslegum tilgangi.
Uppsögn áskriftar
Ef þú vilt segja upp Plate POS áskriftinni skaltu senda okkur póst á platepos@platepos.is. Við staðfestum uppsögnina og stöðvum frekari greiðslur. Uppsögn áskriftar og eyðing aðgangs eru aðskilin: þú getur sagt upp áskrift án þess að eyða gögnum, eða óskað eftir eyðingu gagna eins og lýst er hér að ofan.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Plate POS account and the personal data associated with it. Plate POS is operated by Jón Viðar ehf.
How to request deletion
- Email platepos@platepos.is — ideally from the address you use to sign in.
- Put "Delete account" in the subject and state your restaurant/account name.
- We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When an account is deleted, we remove the personal data associated with it, including:
- Account and sign-in data (name, email, phone, role, password).
- Guest booking data recorded under the account.
- Settings and data related to your use of the system.
What data is kept — and why
Sales, invoice and VAT records (orders and receipts) are retained for 7 years as required by Icelandic accounting law, after which they are deleted or anonymised. These records are kept to meet a legal obligation, not for marketing.
Cancelling your subscription
To cancel your Plate POS subscription, email platepos@platepos.is. We'll confirm the cancellation and stop further billing. Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are separate: you can cancel without deleting data, or request data deletion as described above.
